Overview: From the creators of Car-y-mor, Blackflag Booch, an ocean-inspired kombucha from St. David’s, Wales, blends pirate rebellion with sustainability. We designed its logo, packaging, and full system to capture its adventurous, sea-loving spirit.

The Ask
To capture investor interest and build marketing momentum, Blackflag Booch needed a bold brand identity that would showcase its product and set it apart in a crowded industry.
The Solution
We developed a full visual system that included logo marks, bottle labels, a color pallet, fonts, and a set of illustrations.
Logo Marks
The client wanted a badge-style logo centered around a classic pirate flag. We designed a mark featuring the brand name, established date, and location alongside a bold flag graphic. To ensure versatility, we created both dark and light versions for use across different brand color backgrounds.
Color Pallet
We developed a four-tone palette of muted hues, incorporating natural greens and neutrals as a subtle nod to seaweed and the coast.
Bottle Labels
To emphasize the brand’s artisanal, batch-brewed roots, the client requested a vintage-style label. Each of the three flavors was given its own color treatment, creating distinction within a unified visual system.
Marketing Illustrations
We developed a small collection of nautical, supporting illustrations to expand the brand identity and bring personality to marketing touch points.
Packaging Mockups
We proposed a dark amber bottle to complete the packaging system, reinforcing the craft and small-batch character of the kombucha.
